STAFF:


Ginger Armstrong is the founding director of the color guard and winter guard programs at Northgate. As a performer, she was a member of the Houston NightHawks and Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps, and Nouveau Winter Guard. She has taught at all levels of the activity since 1986, served as a guest clinician for several pageantry groups in Japan, and serves as the Color Guard Coordinator for Spirit Camps, Inc. Most recently, she was one of the founders of the Southern Association for Performance Arts, serving as both VP for Color Guard and President in the 2007 through 2009 seasons. She is a graduate of Auburn University and is currently the teacher for the Transplant Team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston Hospital. She is married to Alan Armstrong, band director at Northgate High School, and mother to Caitlin (19), Kelsey (15), Emily (11) and Ryan (11).

Brandon Dailey has been with the Northgate Color Guard and Winter Guard programs since 2005. He performed with JSU Center Stage Winter Guard and the Atlanta CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps. After 3 seasons in the color guard for CorpsVets, he was selected as one of the Drum Major for the 2009 season. He is an instructor for several programs in the Atlanta area, including Roswell H.S., Pike County H.S. and Spirit Camps, Inc. He attended Mississippi State University and Jacksonville State University, and is currently completing a degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Sciences.

Robby DuFresne is one of the founders, directors and designers for the Northeast Independent Performance Company. His color guard career began at St. Augustine High School with Coast One Winter Guard. After high school, he performed for several years with the Shaktai Performance Company. He has been an instructor and consultant at all levels of the activity from Cadet Class to Independent World, and has also served as Caption Head for the Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps. He is a graduate of Florida State University, and currently works in the field of social work for the Children's Home Society of Florida.

Matthew Richardson started his color guard career as a charter member of the Northgate High School Winter Guard in 2001. After high school, he went on to perform with Northeast Independent Winter Guard and the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, Matthew currently works as an Art Director with Blue Sky Advertising in Atlanta. He is an an accomplished musician (french horn and piano), amateur arialist and proud parent of Gizmo, the world's cutest pug.

Joey Taylor joined the Northgate staff in 2009. He performed as a member of Alliance of Miami and Onyx winter guards, as well as the Atlanta CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps. After relocating to the Atlanta area from Dayton, Ohio, he is currently the director of the Roswell High School color guard and winter guard. He has attended Sinclair Community College and American International University - Florence, Italy, and holds a degree in interior design.
